Summer Day Camp 2011
Afternoon Activities List

Full day students will choose two activities of which they will alternate class days - Mondays and Wednesday will be one activity and Tuesday and Thursday will be another activity. On Fridays, students will have an array of activities, different each Friday, for students to pick from. 

1. Arts & Crafts – decorate and handicraft crafts *
2. Beading – utilize a variety of colored beads to string together interesting shapes and objects *
3. Chess – developing strategic planning skills and competitive spirit
4. Chinese Chess – developing strategic planning skills and competitive spirit
5. Chinese Yo-yo (Diablo) – develop and master skills and tricks using the Chinese Yo-yo**
6. Computer Technology – explore and learn the technology behind computers and build one to keep **
7. Drama – developing skills of expression through oral and body language
8. Fashion Design – design, make and put on a fashion show *
9. Fencing - learn to fence **
10. Fine Art – developing children’s imagination and creativity through color & shapes *
11. Go - learn to play traditional game of goa.
12. Guitar - learn to play guitar **
13. Hip Hop Dance – hip-hop dancing
14. Kung Fu – intriguing introduction to the dynamic sport of martial art
15. Leather Carving – develop skills and techniques to carve leather *
16. Modern Dance – modern dancing
17. Robotics – building functional robots **
18. Singing – music-related knowledge and songs taught by professional teacher
19. Sports – coordinated group athletic activities
20. Traditional Chinese Dance – taught by famous professional dancer
21. Violin - learn to play violin **
22. Wood Carving – develop skills and techniques to carve wood *
23. Writing – develop strong writing, rhetoric and grammar skills **
