Volunteers are a huge part of our summer experience. They bring youthful energy to our staff and campers. Together, we work with children to create life long memories. Volunteering is a great way to gain real life work experience, make new friends, and build that resume for college.

Camp Dates: 7/1/2024 – 8/16/2024

Youth who will be in grades 9-12 Summer 2023 and will be 14 years of age by July 1, 2024, can volunteer as a Counselor. Counselors responsibilities include supervising and guiding campers. Kuei Luck will provide all required training for all volunteers.

Volunteers must be able to commit to the entire summer and work the full week. Additionally, we ask that volunteers commit to either a morning shift (8:00 AM – 1:15PM) or an afternoon shift (1:00 PM – 6:00 PM).

Camp is a place where all children are welcome. For many of them, being in a group environment can be daunting and our counselors are an integral part of ensure that all our campers feel included. We ask that you come with an open mind and ready to try new things. Our ideal counselor is someone who is responsible, out-going, creative, and most importantly always ready to have fun and be silly.

Kuei Luck Enrichment Center is a worksite for the SYEP program through the NYC Dept. of Youth and Community Development. Youth from the ages of 16-24 who are interested in working for us.

2. Applicants must select “Chinese American Planning Council – Queens” as their provider if they wish to work at Kuei Luck Enrichment Center. Applicants must also enter SYEP provider pin “WPA 741269”.
