Kuei Luck 2020 Goes Virtual!

Kuei Luck Summer Camp goes VIRTUAL. This summer, we know that many families will feel more comfortable keeping their children at home due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We do not want children to miss out this summer. For those families, we will be offering the same great education online this summer. Children will engage in live teaching. Morning Sessions will be taught live with our NYS Certified Teachers that have been working with and creating a rapport with your children in the past. These teachers have a proven track record that will ensure your child is not only caught up, but ahead of the curve, for the upcoming academic year!

Effective Virtual Learning

We know that some of our Kuei Luck families might be hesitant when it comes to virtual learning. However, here at Kuei Luck, we have been teaching students virtually for the past two month. Each day, our tutors, teachers, and students have not only become comfortable with using Zoom, but have thrived in academic achievements. Additionally our students have been able to be social at a distance.

We recognized that the changes forced upon us has been disruptive, however, as educators, we must work with students to adapt to new situations. We hope that all our families will give virtual learning a chance, as we have seen significant strides and progress with our students that are currently enrolled in our virtual programs.

Many of our current families are able to leave their children with our teaching staff virtual and work from home; knowing that their children are engaged and learning.

Kuei Luck Summer Camp staff will deliver your supplies to your house and leave it at your door. In this box, you will receive your camp supplies including your textbooks, activities supplies, and camp shirt.

We call it “Camp in a Box.”

Additional contact-less deliveries will be made throughout the summer if your camper’s class and/or activity requires it.

Delivery Fees are included for families in Queens and Nassau County. If you live else where, we will ship the materials costs to your home. Additional fees may apply.

Our Kindergarten Summer Camp will be redirect to our KLECC Program.

Morning Enrichment

Just like our in-person Summer Camp, children will spend their mornings on virtual sessions with a licensed teacher.

For 1st and 2nd grade, our class size will range from 5-6 students to 1 teacher with 45 minute classes and 10 minutes of break time in between classes where campers can have community time with other campers.

For 3rd-8th grade, our class sizes will range from 10-12 students to 1 teacher with have a filled pack enrichment session with a 15 minute break in between.

All classes will be conducted live. Children will be able to learn and interact with their teachers and receive immediate feedback. Our curriculum is aligned with the Common Core. Our focus is to help children get ahead start on next year’s school work.

This year, in addition to getting a head start on next year, we want reinforce the material they may have fallen behind on due to school closure.

Our classes will be grouped by grade and academic abilities. Children come from all abilities. In order to effective support children in a short amount of time, we assess all children before class starts. This will allow teachers to differentiate based on the needs of each student.

In addition to daily in-person lessons, children will receive daily assignments. A weekly take-home assessment will be provided at the end of the week.

Throughout the summer, our program will be adjusted based on feedback and their needs.

Afternoon Activities

The best part of camp, is all the fun activities children get to participate in. Just because we are not together in person, does not mean children cannot still part-take in activities.

Camp activities will be taught virtually. Children will select 2 activities every week. Our activity supplies will be included in our Camp-In-A-Box program. Our contact-less delivery will drop these supplies to your house.

Like our academic sessions, activities will be live sessions with our activity specialist. Our diverse list of activities will ensure that your child will not be bored this summer. Each week, children will select two activities. They will alternate each activity every other day.

Our activities also do not require a summer-long commitment, you can opt-in on a week to week basis.

Families can always request that we group friends together. We want children to have the best summer experience possible!
