Refund / Withdrawal Policy

Kuei Luck Enrichment Center is dedicated in providing the best possible service to all that is involved. Please keep in mind that we hire our staff, purchase our supplies and books, and sign rental agreements all well in advance. We have given our commitment to our vendors and staff members and we want to honor it. With that in mind, we have created a balanced refund policy that takes both the needs of our families and the needs of Kuei Luck into consideration. We make every effort to update our website. However in the event that there is a discrepancy, we will use the version of the terms and conditions of enrollment including the withdrawal policy on your child's registration form to resolve any matters.

It is Kuei Luck’s policy that no tuition is refunded after any program has started unless otherwise specified below. There is no refund or reduction of fees for the discontinuation of any program due to, but not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, fire, pandemic or epidemics. There is also no refund or reductions of fees for any child who is removed from a program due to poor behavior or has been deemed unsafe.

DUE TO COVID 19 any and all refund checks will go out after NYS PAUSE has been lifted. We anticipate that it will take 8-16 weeks after we re-open for checks to get to parents.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp Terms and Conditions 2021

Before sending your child to Kuei Luck Enrichment Center (KLEC) we want to make sure you understand that in light of the current medical, legal, and economic conditions resulting from the COVID 19 pandemic and recognizing that these conditions are subject to abrupt change at any time, you are sending your child to camp under the following conditions.

1. While we wish that we could control every possible risk, and while we will use our best efforts to keep your child safe from the COVID 19 virus, we want to make clear that we cannot promise or guarantee that this or any other pathogen will not enter camp, and that by the very nature of the personal interaction that takes place in the camp environment, there is always a risk of your child becoming ill with this or any other communicable disease. We want you to be fully aware of this risk in making the decision to send your child to camp this summer, and that you are willing to assume and accept it on your child’s behalf.
2. We believe in our ability to open camp this summer in a manner that meets our camp’s as well as CDC safety standards. Although guidelines for testing are changing rapidly, we are planning for testing for COVID 19 in campers and staff at distinct times throughout the camp program at camp. This process is important to achieving our health goals for this summer and if there is any reason that this process will be difficult for your child, we should be in contact prior to the 2021 camp season. The COVID19-Test fee is non-negotiable and families must participate in all camp testing.
3. Because we want to do everything to keep camp operating in a safe manner, if your child is exhibiting symptoms such as an elevated fever of or tests positive for COVID 19 or other communicable disease, they may be quarantined as recommended by our medical staff. Depending upon the medical advice we receive, you may be required to make immediate arrangements to pick up your child. We understand the hardship this could present, but we want to do all we can to assure the safety of both your child and the rest of the camp population.
4. In order to minimize the risk, during the camp season and for two weeks thereafter you will use your best efforts to minimize any contact between your child and anyone considered medically vulnerable under CDC guidelines. (Alternatively, you can include this as a recommendation in your parent materials).
5. If your child has been in contact with anyone who is exhibiting symptoms of or who has COVID 19, you must contact us immediately so that we may decide on an appropriate protocol.
6. Everyone at camp this summer will be required to wear their masks at all times. We will designate times for children to be outside and take a mask break.
7. All children must provide a valid medical before the start of camp otherwise, he or she cannot participate in camp until a medical form has been received and reviewed by our medical staff.
8. Transportation of your child to and from camp presents a special challenge for the summer of 2021. After consultation with our medical staff and other experts, campers will be required to travel to and from camp in the following manner (describe your plans). It is of course possible that these arrangements could change depending upon CDC guidelines and recommendations from our medical team. Again, we understand this could present logistical and other difficulties for some of our families, but together with our medical team we have decided this is the best way to handle this situation for 2021.
9. In the event KLEC is unable to open or is forced to begin late or close early due to circumstances beyond program’s control, including but not limited to weather, floods, utility failures, inaccessibility, communicable disease, civil unrest, governmental order, or other such reason, KLEC shall not be responsible for any costs, losses, or other damages beyond a credit of tuition or a proportionate share thereof in the event of a partial shutdown, minus any non-recoverable expenses and administrative costs spent in performance of this agreement. It is possible that no credits will be provided in such event.
10. In the event of any claim, controversy or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions of Enrollment, or the breach thereof, Kuei Luck Enrichment Center, Inc. shall be entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs if it prevails on all of the claims, or most of the claims asserted.
11. Parents may elect to withdraw prior to May 31, 2021, however there will be a $500 processing fee.
12. Absolutely no refunds after June 1, 2021.
13. I grant KLEC and its affiliates the right to take and use photos and videos of the student listed above for promotional purposes. I hereby agree to reimburse the KLEC for any property damage caused by the student listed above. KLEC reserves the right to dismiss a student who, after careful consideration and examination, is deemed a hazard to the safety or rights of others or who appears to have rejected the reasonable expectations of the program and shall not receive a refund.
